A rectangular folio that folds into a triangular stand, with the front cover creased into two hinged panels and the tablet held at a raised viewing angle. A shallow recessed channel runs along the lower inner edge to hold a stylus, while the back panel stays flat with a single camera cutout. Proportions match a full-size tablet, slim in profile and wider than it is tall when open.

When a Laptop Became Thin Enough to Sleeve

The laptop sleeve only became viable once laptops thinned enough to be carried like a book.

Laptop sleeve padding splits into closed-cell foam (genuine impact protection) and felt lining (a softer, lower-protection option chosen mainly for scratch prevention and feel).

An organiser folio adds built-in compartments for cables, pens, and documents alongside the laptop or tablet, effectively merging a sleeve with a briefcase organiser.

Laptop and tablet cases must be sized precisely to specific device model dimensions, unlike a phone case that can sometimes flex fit across similar sizes — a loose sleeve doesn't protect against impact and a tight one won't close.
