A rounded-square clamshell case with a shallow, even depth, split into two molded halves that meet along a full-perimeter zipper. The lower shell holds two deep, circular recesses separated by a raised central ridge, while the upper shell stays flat with a single elastic strap. A short webbing handle sits on the outer edge, and the case closes to a compact block roughly the size of two cupped hands.

Borrowed From the Camera Bag

The molded hard-case format for tech accessories descends directly from camera and lens equipment protection.

EVA foam construction holds a precise shape and offers real impact protection, a step up from a soft fabric pouch that only protects against scratches, not drops.

An earbud case cover is a thin protective shell that fits over the charging case itself, protecting against scratches and drops of what is otherwise a bare plastic or metal shell.

A case shaped precisely to one product's dimensions costs more to tool but holds the product securely without shifting, versus a generic padded compartment that fits multiple product shapes loosely.

Questions

An earbud case cover (China, 500-unit run) lands around $1.50–3; a molded EVA-foam headphone travel case runs $6–12, driven by the tooling for the custom-shaped interior cavity.
